1.)
In this tutorial I will show you how to make a simple
timer .
-----------------------
-----------------------
2.)
You will need the actions panel, a symbol, timeline
panel, and a dynamic textbox will make it easier to
see whats going on.
3.)
The First thing you will want to do, is to set how many
seconds you want to have in your flash file to start
off from count down. I choce 60, for 60 seconds.
-----------------------
-----------------------
4.)
Inside the movieclip You have made, make it the same
number of frames as the movie's frame rate... is. This
way it will keep looping at exactly 1 second per loop.
and movie clips loop endlessly until a stop action is
met. At the final frame put a command that will take
away 1 from the timer variable you have put on the main
timeline. .
-----------------------
-----------------------
5.)
On the Main Timeline
you should make a dynamic Text box to view the timer
going down as the frames loop around. and subtract 1
from the variable each second. Don't forget to give
the dynamic text box, the variable of timer .
.
